Halfway There!

January 29, 2009 (20 weeks)
So, here I am at the halfway point of my pregnancy and pretty close to 5mos. This is my first belly picture and it was quite fun. I have seen these done so many times, but I was stoked to do my own.

I'm excited to finally have my own baby bump even if it is a little one. I haven't had anyone who doesn't already know pick up on my being pregnant, but I know that will come. Although, I am trying to hurry it along by wearing clothes that show the bump the most and sticking it out of course.

Can you believe I have an 8inch baby inside my little belly?! I started feeling him move for the first time a few weeks ago. I teared up and just sat there in amazement. Then I called Ernie and told him and he was thrilled. Now, he asks me several times a day if I've felt the baby move. He was even able to feel baby Schulzie move last weekend. Too fun!

Waiting to See Baby

November 11, 2008
I can't tell you how excited Ernie and I were when we went to our first doctor's visit at 8 weeks pregnant. We knew it would be our first time to see our little nugget. Ernie snapped this photo with me sitting next to the ultrasound machine right before the big moment. Wow! What a blessing it was to see the baby's little heart pumping blood. Yes, there were tears coming from both Mommy and Daddy.

I thought, "The Author of Life has written a poem in me womb!"

One Word Changed Our World!

October 18, 2008
When Ernie and I got married we knew we wanted to wait a few years before we started cookin' up a bun in the oven, and boy it's amazing how quickly those two years flew by. When our second summer started creeping closer, we found ourselves having the baby conversation often.

I have to admit I was nervous, excited and overwhelmed by the thought of bringing a little life into the world. However, God was moving on our hearts and by the time August came around we were ready to go!

That first month I just knew I was pregnant, we're talkin' nauseousness and everything, but alas I was not preggers. I was disappointed for about a day, but then I realized, "hey, these things take time." So, when the next month came around I tried my best not to think about whether or not I was pregnant.

Our trip to Longs to buy our handy-dandy digital hpt was quite an experience. We couldn't stop laughing and looking at each other in amazement.

The few moments it took for the test to work were some of the longest and most exciting of my life. And then...(as if by magic) the word PREGNANT just appeared. What a beautiful word.

Ernie heard me giggling and joined me. I couldn't show him the test fast enough and the next few minutes were spent hugging, laughing, crying and praising God. We were on a new journey together and we knew our lives were forever altered. Thank you Jesus for baby Schulzie!
